After three months of hard work and rehearsals, the Black Cab Choir had its debut performance at wonderful Warwick Castle to an audience of more than 500 colleagues, family and friends.
The choir, made up of approximately 35 members from across the Black Cab manufacturer's retail, production and head office departments practiced four songs over 12 weeks and performed them all at a pre-organised Family Fun Day.
The songs chosen were the classic Beatles' Drive My Car, Elton John's I'm Still Standing and finally a medley of Never Walk Alone (from the musical Carousel) and Eric Idle's Always Look On The Bright Side of Life.
Commenting on the choir, Vice President Peter Johansen said: "This has been an amazing experience for all involved, including those who watched the performance. We are a close knit company and view ourselves as an extended family. The entire choir experience has only deepened that feeling."
The choir was developed and led by Andy Guthrie's Workplace Choir Company and the full length video of the performance will be available soon and posted on the London Electric Vehicle Company's YouTube Channel.
