Joerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, commented:
“Europe plays a crucial part in LEVC’s growth strategy outside the UK and we wish to significantly increase our green footprint across the Continent this year. By 2022 we expect more than 60% of our sales to come from export markets.”
Martin Rada, Managing Director Europe, commented:
“We see a clear sales opportunity for our products in Europe – especially for the new VN5 van as the demand for green logistics continues to rise. There are currently 600.000 one tonne vans in Europe and nearly all of them are diesel. This gives us a clear opportunity for sales growth, and we are rapidly expanding our dealer network across key European cities, identifying likeminded e-mobility partners and reaching customers who share our vision for cleaner, greener commercial transport solutions.”
Under the leadership of Martin Rada, who has been responsible for the European business as Managing Director since February 2021, the regional managers Thomas Goldboom (Central Europe), Marcus Rosenburg (Northern, Central and Eastern Europe) and Jorge Susaeta (Southern Europe) are furthering the expansion of LEVC's sales and service organisation.
LEVC is seeing an increase in demand for TX products in Europe as taxi operators and on-demand shuttle services switch to greener mobility solutions. The TX and TX Shuttle are powered by LEVC's proven and innovative eCity technology. They can operate 101 km emission-free, but have a flexible range of up to 510 km. Both TX models offer a spacious passenger environment with seating for six passengers, wheelchair access and a purpose-built partition screen separating the driver from the passengers.
LEVC's new electric van, VN5, is already available in the UK and will be launched in mainland Europe from June this year. Operating in the one-tonne payload vehicle segment, the VN5 inherits the TX's bold, distinctive design and lightweight aluminium construction, as well as its innovative eCity electric drive technology. The VN5 achieves an all-electric range of more than 98 km and a flexible total range of more than 489 km. With a load capacity of up to 5.5 m³, the VN5 can also easily accommodate two Euro pallets with a gross payload of up to 830 kg*.
