Plug-in Taxi Grant (PiTG)


The PiTG scheme offers a discount on the price of eligible taxis of up to a maximum of £7,500. It is available to all taxi drivers and businesses buying or leasing a new Ultra Low EV (ULEV) purpose-built taxi.

In order to be eligible for the maximum grant, any purpose built ULEV taxi must meet the criteria set out in section 3 of the Gov UK Plug-in taxi grant application guidance below.

As one of the requirements to receive the PiTG, the ULEV taxi must show that the vehicle has been type approved as a wheelchair accessible vehicle. For this reason, when buying or configuring a vehicle online, all appropriate new TX models listed in our licensed taxi section feature a pre-selected with the optional ‘Wheelchair accessibility Pack’ at £795 including.
