The VN5 improves the bottom line for owners and businesses, starting from week one of ownership and continuing through the van’s entire lifecycle.
To ensure a hassle-free ownership experience with no unforeseen repair costs, all non-wearing components - from motors to ball joints to bushes - are covered against manufacturing defects by our fully comprehensive mechanical warranty.
VN5 offers the longest standard warranty in terms of vehicle and battery in the industry.
Reduce business expenditure daily with the fuel savings you expect from an electric vehicle, and drive in any urban zero-emissions zone without incurring emission penalties.
Enjoy the long-term benefits of the vehicle’s robustness and durability, which leads to a longer lifespan, better residuals and minimal repair costs.
The numbers add up: VN5 can deliver a significantly lower total cost of ownership.
The Department for Transport (DfT) announced changes to the Plug-in Grant schemes for light commercial vehicles and trucks, which came into effect 18th March 2021.
Unlike competitors vehicles which have been adversely affected by this change, VN5 remains eligible for the maximum Plug-In Van Grant - worth £6,000.
Built with first in sector construction techniques, VN5 can last twice as long as a traditional van, challenging conventional wisdom on change cycles.
The anodised aluminium monocoque body has approximately twice the strength of mild steel, weighs less, and does not rust.
The Sheet Moulded Composite (SMC) exterior panels lessen damage from dents and dings, as well as corrosion from road salts and harmful fluids. A specially formulated durable paint also acts to reduce the chance of chipping or scratching.
With an estimated 15-year lifecycle, VN5 is built to last.
Diesel fuel costs per mile are potentially four times those of electric charging costs.
The cost of electricity varies widely between electricity provider, charging location and device, supplier tariffs and also fluctuates over time.
At the time of publication* Octopus Go’s overnight tariff for electric vehicles cost only 5p/kWh, which equates to a cost of less than 2p/mile for a VN5 running purely on electricity supplied by this tariff and a total charge cost of less than £2.

To further optimise the use of electrical energy, regenerative braking has been adopted, converting unwanted momentum into energy to charge the battery as the vehicle slows.
So effective in its operation, the initial braking effort is provided entirely by the regeneration system, with the mechanical wheel brakes only engaging during heavier braking periods. This both improves the range and reduces wear on brake pads, extending their lifespan.
With its exemplary durability, longevity and corrosion resistance, the VN5 can reduce any business’s vehicle repair bill. Additionally, the electric powertrain has fewer moving parts than a conventional engine and reduced component wear compared to a conventional van.
As a result, the VN5 benefits from service intervals of 25,000 miles – meaning less expenditure on maintenance, and more time in active service.
When operating in Pure EV mode (electric only), emissions in the city are zero, meaning VN5 benefits from exemption from emissions penalties.
Geo-fencing capabilities also give the driver one less thing to worry about, as the vehicle can automatically switch to zero-emissions operation upon entering a Clean Air Zone, meaning no emissions charges.
For even greater peace of mind, LEVC have partnered with the RAC to give VN5 drivers access to 1,500 patrols, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. So wherever you are in the UK, if you need help, it's never far away.
VN5 is covered by RAC Roadside Assistance for 12 months from the date of purchase and includes:
For those looking for that extra reassurance, the whole vehicle warranty can be extended for a small additional cost.
