ECITY TECHNOLOGYVN5 delivers a total flexible range of 304 miles (WLTP) with ultra-low emissions of just 21 g/km CO2 on the combined WLTP* cycle. This cycle delivers a pure electric zero emissions range of over 60 miles*, and the more frugal driver could achieve a 75 miles* range in Pure EV mode, according to WLTP city methodology. An electric motor always drives the rear wheels. The 31 kWh battery is supported by a petrol range-extender, which eliminates range anxiety and provides greater usability and flexibility. The range extender has no mechanical connection to the driven wheels, acting simply as a generator to supply charge to the battery if and when required. Naturally, the powertrain in VN5 is Euro 6 compatible.

Liquid Cooled BatteryVN5 adopts advanced, active liquid battery cooling technology, which circulates a cooling solution to keep the battery at a comfortable temperature and minimise degradation. This is more effective than passive air cooling systems that use ambient air to cool the battery, because if the air outside is already warm, it won't cool the battery as effectively as a liquid refrigerant. Think air conditioning vs standard ventilation on a hot day.
The battery is protected by an 8 yr / 240k miles warranty as standard.
FLEXIBLE CHARGING CAPABILITIESVN5 boasts market leading on-board charging capability, with access to slow, fast and rapid charger points. While some competitors take hours, the superior charging capabilities of VN5 can recharge the battery from 0-100% in approximately 30 minutes (using its 50kW charger). This means less time wasted fuelling/charging, more time working.

2-stage Regenerative BRAKING With two stages of energy recovery available, VN5 can regenerate power while braking by capturing much of the vehicle's kinetic energy, converting it in to electricity to maintain the battery charge level - helping you go further. Regenerative braking lets an operator even control their driving with one pedal, bringing the vehicle to a stop and regenerating power at the same time, simply by releasing the accelerator - helping reduce wear on brake pads.

Emergency assistance with eCallFitted as standard in all variants, eCall emergency response reduces the emergency response times to an incident, increasing the chance of survival for anybody involved in an accident who is seriously hurt.
