A NEW PARTNERSHIP AIMED AT SAVING LIVES

The London EV Company (LEVC) has announced a new partnership with the charity RAPAID Emergency Bandages to help make life-saving emergency bandage kits more accessible across the UK’s national taxi network.

RAPAID’s mission is to save lives by placing simple-to-use emergency bandages in taxis so that members of the public can quickly access them in the crucial minutes before emergency services arrive. The kits are designed to help stem serious bleeding following accidents or incidents, buying vital time for casualties until professional medical assistance is on scene.

Taxi drivers are uniquely positioned to support this important initiative. Operating around the clock and constantly moving through urban areas, taxis can act as highly visible and accessible points of emergency support within communities. Each RAPAID equipped taxi will be easily identifiable with a window sticker, now available from LEVC retailers.

As part of this worthy initiative, existing owners can head to their nearest LEVC retailer to collect a free kit and from July 2026, a further 5,000 new kits are also being distributed.

Each RAPAID kit contains military-grade emergency bandages, gloves and simple visual instructions so that anyone — even without medical training — can help apply pressure to severe wounds and slow potentially fatal bleeding.

RAPAID has already equipped thousands of taxis across cities including London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Oxford and Exeter.

LEVC’s partnership with RAPAID reinforces its wider commitment to supporting drivers, passengers and the communities served by the TX fleet, while contributing to a nationwide effort to ensure life-saving equipment is never far away when it is needed most.

To be a part of this brilliant initiative, contact your local LEVC retailer where you will be able to collect a Rapaid Emergency Bandage kit, free of charge and to members of the public, keep an eye out for this life-saving initiative on the streets.
