LEVC APPOINTS JOHNSON BROS TOURS & REDFERN TRAVEL AS OFFICIAL AFTERSALES PARTNER IN THE EAST MIDLANDS
15 January 2026, LEVC has officially appointed Johnson Bros Tours and Redfern Travel as its aftersales partner in the East Midlands. The family owned business operates from four sites across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire that will now service both TX and VN5 customers.
Johnson Bros Tours and Redfern Travel has been a reputable specialist in commercial vehicles since its operations began in 1950 and the business currently manages and maintains a large fleet of buses and coaches from its purpose-built facilities across all its sites.
This appointment by LEVC will grant both TX taxi and VN5 van customers access to Johnson Bros Tours and Redfern Travel’s purpose-built service and repair facilities as well as their team of commercial vehicle experts who understand the importance of minimising downtime.
Scott Johnson, Managing Director, Redfern Travel, said:“With decades of experience in managing commercial vehicles, we have built an excellent reputation in the industry and fully understand the importance of minimising downtime for drivers. We welcome the opportunity to support LEVC customers, and our expert team is fully prepared to provide comprehensive support for both TX and VN5 vehicles at our purpose-built facilities.”
Chris Allen, Managing Director, LEVC, said: “We’re delighted to appoint Johnson Bros Tours and Redfern Travel as our aftersales partner in the East Midlands, which will strengthen the support available to our customers across the region. With a proven track record in commercial vehicle care, supported by dedicated facilities and specialist technical expertise, this new appointment will ensure LEVC drivers receive fast, reliable service that keeps their vehicles on the road.”
The TX, manufactured at the company's state-of-the-art facility in Ansty, Coventry, has been helping drivers transition to cleaner black cabs since its introduction in 2018.
Central to the LEVC TX is its revolutionary eCity powertrain, which provides the best, most useable, low-emission real-world solution for taxi drivers. With a pure electric range of up to 78 miles and a total range-extended capacity of 333 miles, TX is ideally suited to operating in and commuting to urban environments.
Thanks to this innovative, super-efficient powertrain, the TX has prevented more than 360 million kilograms of CO2 from entering the atmosphere and reduced NOx emissions of the London taxi fleet by 59%.
The TX taxi is also an inclusive vehicle for all, regardless of age or disability. The vehicle's inclusive design offers sector-leading accessibility, with flexible space for up to six passengers and an integrated ramp helping it accommodate a forward-facing wheelchair. Additional accessibility features include a hearing induction loop, braille switches, a step, swivel chair and high visibility handles.
LEVC is currently the only manufacturer to offer a purpose-built, fully accessible, zero-exhaust-emission capable taxi. With more than 12,000 TX vehicles sold worldwide since launch and a history dating back to 1908, LEVC has established itself as a global leader in electrified urban mobility solutions.
