LEVC ELECTRIFIES THE MAGICAL TAXI TOUR WITH
ENTIRELY ZERO-EMISSION CAPABLE TX FLEET
25/09/2026: LEVC's iconic black cab will once again play a vital role in supporting The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers' charity event, The Magical Taxi Tour (MTT). Now in its 31st year, this annual tradition sees 100's of taxi drivers, volunteers and British and French authorities come together to send children with life threatening conditions on a trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris.
For the first time since the charity was founded in 1995, the fleet of around 100 taxis taking part in the Magical Taxi Tour will be made up entirely by LEVC’s current TX model. This milestone means that every black cab making the journey to Paris will be zero-exhaust-emission capable as well as providing the families with the very best in purpose-built comfort and accessibility.
The vehicle's inclusive design offers sector-leading accessibility, with flexible space for up to six passengers and an integrated ramp helping it accommodate a forward-facing wheelchair. Additional accessibility features include a hearing induction loop, braille switches, a step, swivel chair and high visibility handles.
LEVC has been a long-standing supporter of the Magical Taxi Tour, providing vehicles, financial support and practical assistance to help make the annual journey possible. The company will once again provide vehicles from its own fleet, donate to the charity, support the participating taxis and provide spending money for the families taking part.
Since its introduction in 2018, the TX has become a familiar sight on London’s streets, with the model now making up around 70% of the capital’s licensed taxi fleet. Powered by LEVC’s eCity technology, TX combines zero-exhaust-emission capable electric driving with the flexibility of range-extended technology, helping taxi drivers deliver cleaner journeys without compromising the capability required for the demands of professional taxi driving.
Since going on sale, TX has collectively saved more than 450* million kilograms of CO₂ from entering the atmosphere globally.
